Caught Up.

"I thought I had found the one" a line many women can relate to, and yes, I am a woman in that space. What went wrong I asked myself? While letting desperation get the best of me by endlessly stalking him, even making myself believe that I needed closure, just one last steamy session  with him,"I'll see" he said, a night that ended with me taking a candle lit shower from disappointment,no phone call, no text, nothing!! Rejection hurts, and the only time you are going through a break up is when everyone around you suddenly in love. Drunken nights temporarily ease the pain, until you find yourself blasting out malicious things about them to console yourself,  "he looked like Flava Flav", "he was broke anyway", All or any sound familiar ladies? I believe that the media instills us with unrealistic expectations, or have I really not found the one yet? But, no man has ever stood in the rain calling my name on his knees, begging for my forgiveness,

TYGA AND BLAC CHYNA'S ALLEGED BREAK UP.

I am a die hard fan for celebrity parental couples,If that makes any sense at all.. Since I know the struggles of maintaining a relationship with the your child's mother/father I really do commend those who are able to make their relationships work, especially young parents. Tyga (25 year old hip hop rapper) really impressed me when he showed immense support and care for his girlfriend Blac Chyna even after she fell pregnant; another black male hip hop rapper stereotype out the door. The two really seemed happy especially after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy. Nearly two years after the two started their family, rumours of a break up have surfaced, I was in shock and retreated into my cyber stalking mode to see if there was any evidence of these allegations. Tyga,if you reaaly did "chuk'em duces" please do get it together and go get your woman back. XOXO obsessed yummy mummy_ Allow me to live my happily ever after through others.

OPEN LETTER TO ABSENT FATHERS>

Dear: Irresponsible parent. I  will keep it short and sweet; seeing that you have such little time to devote yourself to even the most important duties of call. I would like to let you know what a wonderful joy ride you are missing out on; seeing a tiny being grow right before your eyes is priceless, now you will never truly know what unconditional love feels like and sadly I almost feel sorry for you but I am quickly reminded by looking into the eyes of innocence what a disgusting creature you are. One that deserves not to be forced into maintaining his child but a penalty that requires less effort from single parents who daily fill the maintenance courts; A surgical procedure of penoctomy is mandate for all these men who clearly do not deserve the privilege of bringing children into the world. One day, some day or no day at all you will realize that you ave missed out on so much of life while you thought escaping your child would make you live. Regards:  Yummy Mummy.

Swagged up Toddler.

The Juridcal society of the law students at the University of Freestate organized a beautiful do this past Thursday; it was the first of many more to come and definitely a great success. The Open Podium is an event which serves as a platform to the many young talents of the university to showcase their talents while entertaining the many entertainment hungry students. The first Open Podium was held outside the Centenary Complex in the beautiful garden with candles lit around it; the set up was intimate and romantic which comprised of a kaleidoscope races and personalities all brought together for the love of poetry dance and music. The opening act was a Nelson Mandela tribute song performed by Simon and CJ; followed by another two songs which had the ladies screaming their lungs out. There was also a poem titled “sex” which addressed the youth about risky sexual behavior; it was good and refreshing to hear a representative of the youth being vocal about sex and promoting abstinence an

A friend, brother , colleague and classmate Eric best known as DJ CJO is a rising star in the making. The twenty one year old is heading in the right path of a successful multimedia guru, this young talent is not only a well-known spinner of the decks in the area of Bloemfontein and his hometown Polokwane but he is also a former Kovsie FM radio presenter and now does the brand marketing for the on campus community radio station. Eric was born in Thembisa, a small township in Pretoria and later moved to Polokwane with his mother at the age of nine; he went to Mokate primary school and discovered his love for music then. He started learning how to DJ with the rotation of DVD players. His breakthrough was when a friend got a computer for his birthday; which allowed them to download virtual DJ and tractor which would prepare him for the turntables. He says “I always considered myself an economist; never a DJ” DJ.CJO was a straight A economics student

Racial divide.

A very controversial and touching topic to the students, facilitators and the rector Mr.Jansen who hasn’t been cut any slack by the media and students of the University of Freestate in all events of the racial scandals. This is mainly because he has been accused of sweeping these racial scandals which keep resurfacing under the carpet. And the secrecy and immediate denial of all events being acts of racial prejudice are what spark rumours and suspicion of this. It is no secret that racism is an ongoing struggle at this university as clearly seen by the events which have caught national media attention starting with the 2008 event at the universities Reitz residence in which students urinated on the food and forced cleaning staff to eat it; four years later on the 20th of February   fifth year economic student at the university Dumane Gwebu was admitted to hospital after two white male students attacked him after having confronted them after they tried drive over him and a group
Embarrassed. "I thought it was okay, I could understand the reasons They said, “There might  be a man or a nervous child  seeing this small piece of flesh that they  weren’t quite expecting.” So I whispered and tip-toed with nervous discretion  But after six months of her life sat sitting on lids,  sipping on milk, nostrils sniffing on piss  Trying not to bang her head on toilet roll dispensers  I wonder whether these public loo feeds offend her ‘Cause I’m getting tired of discretion and being polite  As my baby’s first sips are drowned drenched in shite  I spent the first feeding months of her beautiful life Feeling nervous and awkward and wanting everything right  Surrounded by family ‘til I stepped out the house  It took me eight weeks to get the confidence to go into town Now, the comments around me cut like a knife  As I rush into toilet cubicles  feeling nothing like nice  Because I’m giving her milk that’s not in a bottle  Which

I am one hell of a great cook!! Dinner with the family right before coming to Bloemfontein after the December school holidays. I will blow my own horn when it comes to cooking cz I do BRING it.

Bravery.

I am studying in Bloemfontein and have the most amazing family and nanny in the world!!!!!  They all have a hand in raising my son while I am at school, words cannot explain how greatful I am to have them all in my life... This past Saturday on the tenth of March in the afternoon two young men broke into my family home in Pretoria while my sister and son were in the house; my sister had just finished bathing the little one and was headed up stairs to take a shower, she realised that she had run out of soap and as she was on her way down stairs she sees two guys mendling with the motor for the gate. Masego(sister) was struck by bravery which enabled her to think on her feet so fast, she ran downstairs to get my son his bottle, rushed back up stairs to put her clothes on and grab Ponka(my son) and go into hiding under the stair case. As the two men were breaking the door down she pleaded with my two year old to keep quiet an calm,he then whispered 'Nani' in a teary voice,he calls my

The Sugar daddy trend for on campus girls.

Educational environments have all become financial institutions where lots of money has to be paid to further your studies after high school, even though this is the case many parents try their ultimate best to get their children a decent education. In other cases parents/guardians can afford to take their children to school and can afford to give them enough pocket money. Students from all walks of life come to school and join friendship circles interacting with their peers not knowing one another's  financial position at home, students who can afford lavish lifestyles often pressure those who cannot afford it. This cycle has lead to a growing trend of campus girls with sugar daddies. What is a sugar daddy? An elderly man who is most likely going through a mid life crises (in most cases married) who wants to reassure his manhood by getting into a exchange with a younger girl who will satisfy his needs and in turn will satisfy hers its a sexual and financial transaction between th

Summary

I had a brief introduction of myself in my first post ever and would now like everyone to get to know me on a more personal level, just as I would like to get to know everyone else..I'm Tiisetso Nkome,my friends and family call me Tee. I'm a final year Journalism and Media studies student at the University of the Free state (YES,reserve your comments on our racial scandals). I come from a small family of four,my mom dad sister and I,but we recently had a new addition to our little family, who is my son and my world; his name is Kgositsile(the king has arrived) he is turning two years old this month end and he has an explosive personality just like his mother. I was born bred and buttered in Pretoria, wanted a different scene after matriculating so I came to Bloemfontein,my parents thought I needed to grow up and be far away from my sister whom is still my best friend (distance could never shake what we have off),because we were wild and ungovernable. I fell pregnant in my first ye
